This is What Happend
TIWH
In a dark room there was a circular curtain with a remote flash near by. The audience was forced to look through their camera to view the live piece. The audience was instructed to enter a competition where the winner will be crowned the person who could take the image that says "This Is What happened".
'This is what happened' is a comment on our current culture of photography: to publicize ourselves in the moment rather than capturing a one moment as a record. Resulting in people continually rejecting the present and what is happening in front of their eyes, favoring the continual photographic reproduction of the moment. Forcing This is what happened” to only be viewed photographically I am highlighting the need to 'Escape' from the growing obsession of publicizing ourselves constantly, as what we see and feel is always different from a photograph.
Here are the images the audience took. The winning Images that says "This Is What Happened" will be up-loaded soon!
