Rocking
Witness the audience through connection. Building on the space we create. Moving to the sounds we trigger and the rhythms within us. In the middle of MyFest.

The research was inspired by a Dynamic Expansion* class in which I was reminded of my time spent in school assembly halls. As a child I would get caught in between the other children‚ rocking rhythms so absorbed by the others movement I would not focus on my own rhythm or my rhythm would become a combination of those around me. A topic still relevant to me today. While filming the seven shoots of 9.33 minutes of improvisation on this topic my focus developed into the exploration of the many rhythms we have within us and the rhythms we choose to interact with. Sparking my interest in how to interact with different rhythms without loosing your own. In layering the improvised takes of film I observed my self of one moment interacting with myself from a moment in the past or the future. The synchronicity of this will inform the continuation of this project.
